    =============================

    日本古来の“篠笛”の可能性を広げるため、コンサートやワークショップなど、世界各国でさまざまな活動を行なっている元和太鼓芸能集団「鼓童」の篠笛奏者・狩野泰一氏とメルボルン在住のアーティストとのコラボレーションコンサート。「Australia’s got talent」ファイナリスト津軽三味線の「只野徳子」、美しい音色でフェスティバル等で大好評の「ブランドンリー琴アンサンブル」、学校ショーで大人気の和楽器デュオ「A.YA(エイ、ヤー)」、Funky Wasabi Groove「SOFA SOUL」のピアニスト、中川さや子、そして、お馴染みの「和太鼓りんどう」、そしてパースからはディジュリドゥ奏者の三枝芳隆(SANSHI) がオーストラリアではなかなか観ることが出来ない日本の篠笛トッププレーヤーとの贅沢な一夜限りの共演。会場はToorakにあるIsabel Mc Comas Hall (Toorak campus, Geelong Grammar School内)。

    月夜の晩にこころに染み入る篠笛の音色、和楽器のコラボレーションで日本の極上の音楽を体験しに来ませんか?

    Japanese musicians in Melbourne welcome bamboo ‘Shinobue’ flute master, Mr. Yasukazu Kano who was a member of the internationally renowned ‘Taiko’ drumming group, KODO. Whilst a member of KODO, Mr Yasukazu Kano was an outstanding taiko drummer and an inspirational bamboo flute player. He has performed at over a thousand venues around the world, including Carnegie Hall, Berlin Philharmonic Hall and Theatre de la Ville in Paris.

    Kano draws his musical inspiration from the beautiful nature of Sado Island, Japan where he lives. He can make the Japanese bamboo flute sing like the birds and sound like the ocean breeze and the forest wind. Kano’s melodies are simple yet expressive, and his original compositions showcase the blend of traditional and modern music, incorporating Japanese scales and rhythms, jazz improvisation, African rhythms and classical music.

    In Melbourne, Kano will collaborate with finalist of ‘Australia’s Got Talent’ Noriko Tadano (Shamisen), ravishingly beautiful sound of strings of a Koto ensemble played by Melbourne’s very own Mr Brandon Lee , widely known and powerful Wadaiko Rindo led by Toshi Sakamoto, talented pianist from “SOFA SOUL” Sayako Nakagawa and A.YA duet who with a touch of bonus humour, play traditional to modern music with a variety of Japanese instruments including taiko. Moreover, Japanese didgeridoo player SANSHI could not resist flying all the way from Perth to join this unique collaboration team!

    This is a new vibrant Japanese music concert where you will be able to witness a whole new history of music adventures performed by Japanese professional musicians living in Australia, with of course the very special guest Shinobue player Mr Yasukazu Kano flying in from Japan especially to join this extremely rare concert experience. There is no doubt that you will truly be entertained!

    Don’t miss out!!!! Come and support this great Japanese music collaboration experience in the moonlight!
